This is not an official VMware distribution, but merely a set of modifications to make the Linux distribution of VMware Workstation run on NetBSD/i386. The modifications (i.e. the extensions to, and newly implemented kernel modules) have gone through testing, naturally, but we can't make any guarantees about them. Hence the following disclaimer. "This software" refers to the modifications described above, provided both in source and binary form. The NetBSD-specific part of the vmmon kernel module (in source/vmmon/host.c) was derived from code which is copyright by Vladimir N. Silyaev 1999-2000. See the file source/vmmon/netbsd/host.c for the copyright notice. The code in source/vmmon other than the file 'Makefile' and the files in the 'netbsd' subdirectory are Copyright (C) 1998-2000 VMware, Inc, and are sometimes slightly patched versions of the code as freely available in the VMware for Linux distribution file. @
