One important fix concerns crashes when exiting LyX on OSX, specifically when documents are still open. We have also fixed a handful of bugs with the new input method support. version 2.5.0? -------------- The new features in LyX 2.5 are detailed in https://wiki.lyx.org/LyX/NewInLyX25 The major changes include: * Update the cross-referencing framework to allow additional backends (e.g., zref and cleverref) and to allow range references (e.g., sections 2-3). * Improve LyX's support for color both in the user interace and in output, especially tables. * Greatly improve LyX's support for 'input methods', which are important for languages in which the number of available characters exceeds the number of keys. version 2.4.4? -------------- We have fixed a number of bugs, including some crashes, and introduced a few new features. There have been a number of updates to LyX's interface with computer algebra systems. LyX now (again) has a function (error-next) and a menu entry (Navigate > Next Error) to quickly jump to the next compilation error. LyX now also has a function (errors-show) and a menu entry (Document > Processing Errors) to (re)open the dialog that lists compilation errors (a.k.a. "LaTeX Errors") after it has been closed, with the next error at/after cursor highlighted. An important fix concerns the generation of previews. In certain cases, LaTeX adds a temporary page at the end, and this confuses our python script that generates previews, making it unable to determine the pages to process through dvipng. This has been fixed for versions of dvipng >= 1.16. version 2.4.3? -------------- This is mostly a bug-fixing release. Most of the bugs are minor, but there was one significant one (13118) concerning the loading order of the fancyhdr package that was causing errors in page layout. In terms of updates, the most significant are that it is not possible to insert cross-references from the outliner, even to sections that have not yet been given a label. In that case, the label is automatically created. There has also been a major update to the Swedish localization. version 2.4.2? -------------- This is almost entirely a bug-fixing release, with no significant new features. However, some crashes have been fixed, and we have made some significant improvements to display speed, which will be especially noticeable on older or slower systems. version 2.4.1? -------------- We have fixed a number of bugs in this version. Most of these are minor, but there was one crash when deleting rows or columns from a table that has been fixed. There have also been some improvements to tab management. version 2.4.0? -------------- The new features in LyX 2.4 are detailed in https://wiki.lyx.org/LyX/NewInLyX24 * DocBook 5 / ePub / XHTML 5 support * Default Unicode for new documents * Table improvements (styles and other) * Redesign of Find/Replace dialog * Flexible text fields * Counters * Global float settings * Insets external editing * Dark theme * Qt 5 default, Qt 6 supported, Qt 4 dropped @ text @$NetBSD: patch-src_support_strfwd.h,v 1.3 2019/02/07 10:42:48 markd Exp $ --- src/support/strfwd.h.orig 2018-12-09 20:04:52.000000000 +0000 +++ src/support/strfwd.h @@@@ -42,28 +42,8 @@@@ namespace lyx { typedef boost::uint32_t #include #else -namespace std { - -template class allocator; - -template struct char_traits; -template<> struct char_traits; -#ifdef USE_WCHAR_T -template<> struct char_traits; -#endif - -template class basic_string; -typedef basic_string, allocator > string; - -template class basic_istream; -template class basic_ostream; -template class basic_ostringstream; - -typedef basic_istream > istream; -typedef basic_ostream > ostream; -typedef basic_ostringstream, allocator > ostringstream; - -} // namespace std +#include +#include #endif @ 1.3 log @lyx: update to 2.3.2 Second Maintenance Release in 2.3.x Series: LyX 2.3.2 released. December 14, 2018 LyX 2.3.2 is the result of on-going efforts to make our stable version more reliable and more stable. One main fix involves a crash with external viewers on Windows. We have also fixed a number of problems with the output of right- to-left languages, thanks to the involvement of users. There was also an infinite loop bug connected with the separation of environments that has been fixed. But, for the most part, the fixes here are incremental. First Maintenance Release in 2.3.x Series: LyX 2.3.1 released. September 16, 2018 LyX 2.3.1 is the result of on-going efforts to make our stable version more reliable and more stable. We have fixed a number of bugs and added some new features. Perhaps the most important of these is that Jean-Marc Lasgouttes re-wrote the document painting mechanism. This makes LyX snappier, especially on repeated events. All python scripts distributed with LyX should now be compatible with both python 2.x and python 3.x. New Stable Series: LyX 2.3.0 released. March 16, 2018 LyX 2.3.0 is the culmination of two years of hard work.
